Like a Sword

Like a sword, the pleasures of man

cuts through the very heart of contentment.

It bruises the natural laws of inexorability to heartlessness.

Like a predator in search of prey, it digs the graves of the deadly

And applies the balm of greediness taking sides that leads to torment and pain in the end.

Alarming as the desires of man may be, it is slipped under the carpet of ignorance.

Forgetting the tunnel mostly gets dark at night.

And the only hope of light has been snatched by the attitude of jealousy.

The astrologist may tell the destiny of uncertainty.

The desires of man will wonderfully pledge destruction.

The above text talks about the strange desires wishes, and wants of man which is insatiable. Your comments will contribute to the next analysis on life concept in a free verse to be published. Gootch Yaa
